PWSAfrica was born out of a strong desire to give back, to inspire and to empower.

In recognition of the significance of this initiative, Sofiat Olaosebikan (our Founder and Lead) was named as one of the Future World Changers at the University of Glasgow.

To raise an army of intellectuals that will be well-equipped to tackle the developmental challenges arising in Africa using tools from science and technology.

To empower students and staff within the STEM fields in Africa with computer programming skills by delivering an annual programming workshop, expanding to different universities in Africa.

To help our beneficiaries realise the relevance of the theory they are learning at the university by exposing them to real-world problems for which to develop a solution, they will need to combine their theoretical expertise and computing skills.

To train and mentor a group of people who are passionate about passing on their knowledge by inviting young scientists from Africa to join our team of tutors.
